Orthopedic Surgery
Orthopedic diagnosis, treatment, and care for your pet.
Orthopedic procedures are performed in collaboration with a mobile board-certified surgeon. A consultation with us comes first, to determine whether your pet is a good candidate and which procedure actually fits their condition.
Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO)
Removes the head of the femur to relieve pain from hip dysplasia, osteoarthritis, or fractures. Best suited to small and medium dogs, who adapt well without it.
Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO)
Stabilizes the knee after a torn cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) — one of the most common orthopedic injuries we see in dogs.
Medial Patellar Luxation Repair
Corrects a kneecap that shifts out of place, common in small breeds. Signs include intermittent limping and a clicking sensation in the leg; surgery realigns the joint permanently.
